Hello Zaner fans! Still working to bring this site and socials up to speed after traveling. So, I told you about Vegas. Now, let's take you with us to Washington State...
I went to Washington to attend my nephew's high school graduation and see family. Believe it or not, I had never been to the Pacific Northwest. When Zane was still in treatment at St. Jude, we had made plans during our one-month break between radiation and chemo to fly to Seattle, see family and drive the Pacific Coast Highway to Los Angeles. Covid broke out and our trip was out. We did go to Virginia to the glorious mountains there, but I hope to take the west coast trip with my godson in Zane's honor next year.
But, back to Julian, my sweet nephew, who was graduating top honors and was chosen to deliver the Salutatory speech. It was my extreme honour to attend this bright young man's graduation. Not only does he make an important point in his speech about how we should all treat one another, he also singled out the Zaner!! Thanks, Julian! I hope all who read this post will watch the video. It's very worthy of just three minutes and some change of your time. Julian will be pursuing a degree in the Aerospace Engineering field and has been invited on a summer trip to the Galapagos Islands to celebrate his academic achievements. #GoJuGo#

A couple days later, I ticked off a bucket list item. I brought Zane to Mt. Rainier as we were once meant to go. Breathtaking! It was even snowing pretty good just halfway up in Paradise. Mt. Rainier is over 11,000 feet and Paradise was as far as we could go with the shite out weather conditions. Zane was a a big part of the weekend in Washington. Always thinking of you and honoring your legacy, my sweet Zaner Buttinski. #ZanerInTheClouds

And lastly, just a few snaps of some famous landmarks of Seattle.
