Hey gang. Thanks soooooo much for all the love. If you aren't on Facebook, you missed some drama. Zane was really going through something these last 48 hours or so that had me to the edge. I'm happy to report that sometime in the night, he started to climb back. He stopped moaning, his breathing settled and the sweats subsided. I took him off the morphine and oxygen and he's not needed it since. He's back alert, eyes open, and producing urine (so no dehydration which was a concern).

His home health medical team all came at once and they left a bit ago. Zane tolerated getting bathed and moved around without a lot of groaning and fuss. Still working our way to what caused his severe discomfort and other symptoms of the last two days...did we overdo it?...was it just constipation? Who knows. I can say it looks like we have him as he was again. Some practices have been put in place over these next days to be sure Zane stays on the healthy track. He'll also be getting a blood draw to check for anything out of sorts there.

The exciting thing to come out of today is Zane is back with a pediatric doctor we only met once last year. Dr. Nidhi Chander, once a hospitalist, and for personal reasons, chose to go into hospice care, is once again following Zane. She really knows her stuff, but talks to you in an easygoing conversational manner, as if you are chatting over a nice dinner. Loved her. And...her husband is an oncologist, so she's VERY keen to see Zane get his quarterly MRIs and PET scans, so she will be in our corner if the insurance wants to block us. Again.

So, here's the #MakeZaneBetter team today. I'm not really supposed to have photos of the team on socials, but they all personally agreed and we also chose to have masks off (as we are all vaxed) for the photo. Kudos to Marla for making us all look like it's a high school reunion photo and that my house (especially the floor?) is clean. Neither of those things couldn't be further from the truth! One thing is true though, Zane does seem to be most at ease when surrounded by pretty ladies!

I'm behind on voice mails and texts...thanks to everyone for all the support! Your prayers are working. I wasn't ready to let go of Zane...and he's back. Maybe not all better, but we will add in the word "YET" there.
