So long, Hospice!

Hello guys (and gals)...

Well, it's official. Hospice has decided to chuck us! That's right! You may recall I've kept Zane on hospice care ONLY because I couldn't get the insurance releases for Zane to be in an aggressive care plan. Well, long story...I am now working toward that plan with more help now. It took almost two months, but it's been decided by all parties to release Zane from hospice. He no longer meets the "decline" criteria (he never really did, but was considered a palliative patient). So, it's going to be hard work getting everything in place to move forward from the team we have, but it will be best for Zane to #MakeZaneBetter

Over this past weekend, Zane had some special visits. Friday afternoon Cindy Phoenix came by for an outdoor lunch and a visit with Zane. She has been a MASSIVE advocate for Zane and we consider her one of Zane's biggest angels. Thank you Cindy for your visit and for all your support and love for us.

Then, on Sunday, we had a long, overdue visit with Ethan and Mandy McCain. Zane and I met this lovely couple back in 2008, had some serious fun with them...carnivals, concerts and general hangouts. Time separated us as we carried on with our lives, but we always stayed in touch, seeing each other here and there. So sweet of them to pop by and make a donation as well. And Ethan was even offered a cocktail by my neighbor who was at the pool. Haha. Proves to the point we will all make friends anywhere, anytime! Thanks guys...for your visit, bringing Squirt, and being your sweet selves as always.
