Snuggly, Buggly, Wuggly...Little Drummer Boy

I came across some old photos of Zane's drum set (which we sold years ago) but it piqued me to post this memento left at Zane's Celebration of Life here in Florida by Sidney Brim Budinich.

We've known Sidney since Zane was a real little guy (4 or 5 maybe)? From time to time, she would babysit Zane. When tucking him in bed, she would always have a "Snuggly, buggly, wuggly" routine with him and tuck him in "snug as a bug in a rug!" He liked her method of bedtime tuck-ins so much that I was then required to incorporate this routine into our nighttime tuck-ins. Even until he passed, it was often the last thing I would say to him. Even now as I put myself to bed, I sometimes say it out loud to him so he can hear me now still wishing him a snuggly, warm night of sleep with sweet dreams. So, it is a hoot that Sidney found this writing book and left it behind as one of her mementos.

She also left behind this little miniature drum kit. Back in the days we are speaking of, Zane was a little drummer boy. Drums were his first instrument, getting this kit on his 5th birthday. I still can hear him practicing his paradiddles.
