#HonorZane Tomorrow!

Hello from Texas. As I wind down my first work trip away from home, I turn my thoughts to tomorrow. When I wake in my hotel room tomorrow morning, we will be at the six month mark since Zane grew his wings and skated to the skies.

Nothing has gotten easier. I still feel so alone without him. Some days I trudge on warily. Some days I don't want to get off the couch. But most days, I carry his torch proudly, with sights on making his life and legacy continue to have an impact in ways that will help others. Zane finds ways to bring me joy all the time and I savor those moments.

Looking ahead, I can't wait to make Zane's life matter with the work we will do with #ZanesLaw and #LegaStrings. I'm thrilled for the new job I have, helping nurses start their new lives around the States, filling the crushing void of our country's nursing shortage. I do this all to #HonorZane

Tomorrow, I'd like everyone who reads this to something special for someone who's suffered loss. Reach out and say hello. Offer to take them out to eat. Invite them to something fun. Let them know what their loved one meant in YOUR life. Trust me...those memories others had that are shared with me are more meaningful words can express. Zane lives in all of our memories.
