Hello Everyone! Some good news...Zane's Medicaid was finally enacted. It's not the full blown TBI waiver version which will allow some real therapy sessions (we hope), but it's a start to organize some initial things. I'm not sure what this start-up coverage will cover, but it's a start! Hot damn!
Still no word yet from St. Jude on the MRI read, but I wasn't expecting to hear from them until today or tomorrow at the earliest. So still waiting on that...update coming soon.
So, a lot of you here have known Zane for ever and ever and some of you are new. Either way, we are happy you're here! I thought a few posts might be fun to remember Zane when he was playing music, which he has done since age 5. He started on drums, moved to guitar, and also played the cornet (trumpet) and violin in school, He was in the Orchestra for 8 years, Band for 4 and I was always proud as can be of his musical talents and went to every single one of his concerts.
So, let's start here. His 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥. He was 8 years old and attended a rock band summer camp called Camp Jam. The year is 2008 (I think) and he's a little long-haired rocker and was called "Zane the Rocker" and still is, along with the nicknames Zaner-Butt, Zanemeister and a couple others. The band was called "Masters of Destruction" and he was the lead guitarist. The video is a bit rough, the music in part, but more because of my hideous video skills. Isn't everybody's first song to learn on guitar "Smoke on the Water?" Enjoy the photos and the video! 🤘🤘🤘 Rock on, Zane!
