Checking out Housing

So, how about a non-medical post as we await the biopsy results Tuesday? While Zane has rested this weekend, I took a bit of time for two excursions off St. Jude campus...the first since our arrival last Sunday. Yesterday it was to check out the 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲, a possible long-term housing solution for us once our treatment plan is made clear. Parcels at Concourse is in the Crosstown area of Memphis and was once the old Sears & Roebuck Co. warehouse building. It's MASSIVE. It has been gutted and re-purposed to house lofts, offices, retail space and plenty of public gathering spots. It has the old industrial feel, married with a new, sleek artsy look and it's just fabulous. The large red grand staircase was the old mail chute! If we get the opportunity to live there, we'd almost never have to leave (apart from treatments at the hospital). EVERYTHING is there. Can go shopping for groceries, send a package, have a craft beer, eat a grassfed Angus burger, take a bike ride, get our hair and nails did, grab a cupcake, do some yoga, have a swim or workout, go to art galleries and the list goes on. Thanks to new pal Racquel for meeting me there and giving me a "normal" few hours in the mayhem that's been this past week!
