Learning the St. Jude ropes

Greetings from Memphis, Tennessee, where the weather was in the high 60's today and we expect slow flurries tomorrow! And I thought the weather was wacky other places I've lived!! So, today was Day 1 of treatment. But really this week will be DECIDING the treatment plan. We have a hectic schedule of tests, scans and consults (then repeat, and repeat again). It will be next week before we really have a solid plan in front of us. But, just a check-in with everyone to say we are learning the ropes of this incredibly amazing place. Each morning, you have a schedule you will keep for the day. I imagine when our treatment plan is in place, this will be a bit more repetitive, but we are all over the place this week. Liken it to your first week of college, running from this class to the next, with just a few minutes time in between, passing the same people in the hall and getting to know your way around. Our schedule today is in the photo attached to this post for instance. We have a nurse navigator shuffling us around and keeping us on schedule. We had to change things a bit when Zane's MRI took longer than expected, so tomorrow's load will be even more hectic. We are pooped. But Zane is doing great. Still in a wheelchair for now, but rehab therapy at the end of the week and I suspect he will be walking again next week! THANKS EVERYONE! So many of you have written, called, donated, prayed and we can't thank you all enough. #MakeZaneBetter #StJudeFamily
